Background
Felix was born in Cologne in 1975, but moved to Berlin with his family in 1989, shortly before the fall of the Berlin Wall. There, he studied modern German literature and art history at the Free University of Berlin from 1997 until he began studying film at New York University's Tisch School of the Arts in 1999. His graduation film, ‘The Inner Glow of Things,’ was shown at film festivals internationally, and in 2006 he was artist-in-residence at Villa Aurora in Los Angeles. He has lived in Berlin since 2003, but works extensively abroad.
